Hi, my name is Alex Zhang and I am the Director of Heritage Bridges. I am currently a junior at Belmont Hill School, an all-boys school in MA. I currently teach Sunday classes, and hope to design more types of interactive lessons, as teaching is one of my passions. I spent a lot of time with my Grandma growing up, and she taught me how to speak Chinese. She doesn’t know how to speak English, so I decided to start teaching her and eventually other seniors English. This is my third year teaching English.

Hi, my name is Emma and I am a Chapter Lead based in Atlanta, Georgia. I am a student in high school who is passionate about storytelling, media, and culture connections. My participation in DLI has helped me gain more respect for the language as a link rather than as a mere tool that needs to be learned. In particular, I have become more intrigued by how communication in general (be it written or spoken or cinematic) can be used to unite different viewpoints and promote comprehension.
